Marble Falls Middle School is in the process and expanding the STEAM Academy school-wide!  During the 22-23 school year, all 6th grade students experienced the STEAM Academy through their core classes of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  All 6th grade students participated in the learning process through Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and this will continue for the following year.

During the 23-24 school year, all 6th and 7th grade students will experience the STEAM Academy through their core classes as well!  This slow progression of expanding the STEAM Academy is intentional to ensure we are remaining true to the STEAM Academy principles (PBL, communication, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving).

So, what is the difference between the STEAM Academy and MFMS you might ask?  The only difference for 6th and 7th graders (23-24 school year) is the opportunity to take the Engineering electives.  You must complete the STEAM Academy application in order to register for the Engineering electives.  The core academics of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies are the same for both STEAM and non-STEAM students.

Please contact the middle school if you have any further questions!
