The Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees approved the renewal of the Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation Plan at their regularly scheduled Board of Trustees meeting on March 21, 2023.  The Renewed/Revised approved plan will be in effect beginning the 2023-2024 school year and expire at the end of the 2027-2028 school year (five years).

  • Marble Falls ISD is seeking renewal of the current District of Innovation Plan. The current plan expires at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. The Renewed/Revised plan would go in effect 2023-2024 school year and expire at the end of the 2027-2028 school year (five years).

  • At the March 22, 2022 regularly scheduled board meeting, the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees, approved amending the Local Innovation Plan.

    Amendments added to the Local Innovation Plan include:

    • TEC21.003, §21.057, §21.0031, §21.053 – Certification of Staff
    • TEC25.036 – Transfer Students
    • TEC37.105 – Removal of Unruly Visitors
    • TEC37.005 – Suspension of Students Below Grade 3
    • TEC37.008 – Class Size Waiver for DAEP
    • TEC37.007(c) & TEC §37.010(b) – Expulsion from DAEP for Persistent Misconduct

  • Based on feedback from the community, the DOI and DEIC Committees approved revised wording to several proposed amendments.

    A public hearing regarding the proposed amendments will be held on January 18th during the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees meeting.

  • The District of Innovation (DOI) Committee has been meeting in conjunction with DEIC and working on proposed amendments to the current Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation Plan that would go into effect for the rest of the 2021-2022 school year and continue for the 2022-2023 school year. The current Marble Falls DOI plan will expire at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. A DOI plan may be amended at any time during the designated period of the plan.

    A public hearing regarding the proposed amendments will be held on January 18th during the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees meeting.

    On January 12, 2022, the Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation (DOI) Committee and the District Educational Improvement Committee (DEIC) reviewed public comments submitted through the online form and agreed to add clarification to wording on the following amendments:  Removal of Unwanted Visitors, Suspension of Students Below Grade 3, and Expulsion from DAEP for persistent misconduct. Revised wording will be reviewed at the February DOI/DEIC meeting.  All other proposed amendments will have no changes to the draft wording.

  • On January 15, 2020, the Marble Falls ISD District of Innovation (DOI) Committee voted move forward with a proposed amendment to the District of Innovation Plan. 

    On January 16, 2020, The Marble Falls ISD DEIC voted to move forward the DOI Committee's proposed amendment to the District of Innovation Plan.

    The proposed amendment will be posted to this page for the required 30 days until the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees votes on the proposed amendment. 

    A public hearing regarding this proposed amendment will be held on February 18th during the Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees meeting.

  • Marble Falls ISD completed the process to be designated as a District of Innovation. The District of Innovation Local Planning Commitee presented the District of Innovation Plan to the MFISD Board of Trustees for their approval, and they approved the plan on February 19, 2018.  The plan is located on this webpage, along with some additional information.   We welcome any feedback or questions.
