We are excitedly preparing for the Rick Edwards Day of Service, a district-wide initiative to honor the legacy of Rick Edwards by giving back to our beloved community. This event is an opportunity for Marble Falls ISD students of all ages to engage in meaningful service projects that make a positive impact.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We need service projects! If your organization, neighborhood, or family has a need—big or small—we’d love to help. Examples of potential projects include:
- Trash clean-up or beautification of outdoor spaces
- Landscaping or gardening projects
- Organizing or moving items
- Simple construction or repair tasks
No project is too small or too unique for our volunteers. If you have a project where students can serve, please sign up to host volunteers by completing this form:
ABOUT RICK EDWARDS
Rick Edwards was a local businessman, devoted community leader, and a long-time Marble Falls ISD Board of Trustees member who served from 2009 to 2022. His impact was profound, serving as Board President from 2011-2017. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Gasaway described him best:
"Mr. Edwards was a servant leader in our community who dedicated himself to helping create success in those around him."
Rick Edwards believed in investing in the well-being and success of every child and worked tirelessly to make Marble Falls a great place to live and raise families. In his honor, this day of service will inspire students to live out his values of kindness, service, and community.
WHAT IS THE RICK EDWARDS DAY OF SERVICE?
On this special day, all Marble Falls ISD campuses will unite to serve our community, demonstrating the true spirit of “onward and upward.” From our youngest learners to our high schoolers preparing for their next chapter, every student will have the chance to give back and make a difference.
