Local Attorney, and Roddick Youth Tennis Foundation volunteer, Frank Reilly, joined Superintendent Chris Allen, and Assistant Superintendent, Wade Stanford, to surprise each of the District of the Year teachers in their classrooms Tuesday. To recognize their extraordinary efforts to educate students in the Marble Falls area, Reilly presented each teacher with a $2,500 award from the Foundation and free tickets to the Roddick Youth Tennis “Vegas by the River” fundraiser this Saturday, November 21st, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion in Marble Falls.
“I humbly accept the award and appreciate it very much,” said Arredondo when presented with the check. “But I want you to know that the work I am doing is accomplished every day by so many talented teachers all around Marble Falls ISD.”
Reilly said that the Foundation’s focus is on underserved children, so it was natural to recognize the teachers in Marble Falls ISD who maintain that focus every day.
