MFMS Choirs Earn Sweepstakes Trophies
MFMS Choirs have taken home Sweepstakes for 6 years in a row

The Marble Falls Middle School Choirs competed in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) middle school choir contest Monday, March 7th, with 113 students and four different choirs.  MFMS’ Varsity Women’s Choir, Varsity Men’s Choir, and the Varsity Mixed Choir (Cantare) earned Sweepstakes Trophies by achieving straight ones in Stage and Sight Reading.

The Women’s Junior Varsity Choir earned ones in Stage and a Superior Performance Plaque.

“This is the sixth year in-a-row that the MFMS Choirs have taken home Sweepstakes and Superior honors,” exclaimed MFMS Choir Director, Megan Goodman.  “All of our choirs were honored!”

Among the Judges’ comments about the MFMS performances, Choir Directors Goodman and Angela Williamson heard, “Marble Falls: Great Pie and Middle School choirs!”  The Directors were particularly pleased that three out of their four groups competed at the Varsity level.

“Our choir students put in many practice hours to make sure they are up to the task and we could not be more proud,” said Goodman.

Goodman and Williamson invite you to attend the MFMS end of the year show to see their amazing choirs.  The spring show, entitled Decades, is May 23rd, 6:30 p.m., in the High School Auditorium.
