New staff to Marble Falls ISD gathered Tuesday morning for a welcome breakfast as part of their introduction to our community. The new staff members were embraced by a who’s who of community dignitaries, business members, staff, and administrative “buddies” who will help them get a fast start in the Marble Falls area.
MFISD thanks all of the area businesses who supported the District’s new staff welcome event. New staff members were especially excited to receive prize “goodie” bags stuffed with classroom supplies, cash, health care, personal products and entertainment opportunities donated by area businesses.
“We believe that establishing relationships is an important part of what makes our community such a wonderful place to live and work,” said Marble Falls’ Mayor John Packer. “You can see from the turnout for the new teacher breakfast this morning that our community and business leaders are here to support our teachers’ work with our children and our community.”
New staff met local dignitaries like City Manager Mike Hodge, Chamber President Bill Rives, and Legacy Fund Director, Midge Dockery, during a “people scavenger hunt” coordinated by Terry Ortiz, Vice President and Branch Operations Manager of Northstar Bank of Texas. The scavenger hunt gave the new MFISD employees their first opportunity to meet and greet with some of their community supporters. MFISD invites you to welcome your new staff members to the community during the District’s upcoming open houses. Check your campus calendars for dates and times!
