With the sponsorship from Kiwanis Club Marble Falls, and guidance from Bill Drake, the Builders Club Marble Falls Middle School is now official. Builders Club is a student-led service club for middle school students. The Key Club is the high school version which is currently meeting at Marble Falls High School. Both clubs were originally developed by and is modeled after, Kiwanis Club, a network of men and women serving the community.
“The stated purpose of Builders Club is to develop leadership through service to the school and community,” said MFMS sponsor, Jennifer Marburger. “The Club began meeting in October. In such a short time, the group has accomplished several projects: a custodian recognition, a food drive, a thank a teacher day, a thank a school board member day, and a dog toys for a shelter event.”
The Builders Club members are currently collecting sample size toiletries for the homeless and needy. If you would like to help, or know a student who would like to contribute to their community, contact Jennifer Marburger at email@example.com.
