Ten of 25 Marble Falls High School Band members competing in the University Interscholastic League Solo and Ensemble Contest February 18th advanced to the State Solo and Ensemble contest.
“Mr. Behrens and I are excited about the number of students that advanced to State this year,” said Marble Falls High School Assistant Band Director, Brandon Sinde. “We only had one Ensemble advance last year, and we are looking forward to the continued increase of students each year!”

The Mustang band had two Saxophone trios and one flute trio advance to State by performing a class one ensemble. The first Saxophone Trio to advance is comprised of Sophomores Brandon Goad, Yobana Solorzano, and Freshman Remi MacHarg. The Second Saxophone Trio was a trio of Mustang Band Seniors, Delaney Kelley, Jack Harvell-DeGolier, and Daniel Conn. The Flute trio was comprised of Sophomores Tambrey Gardner, Endrit Bislimi, and Freshman Edith Frank.

The 10 MFHS Mustang Band members qualifying for the State competition will compete in the State Solo and Ensemble Contest May 27, 2017, at the University of Texas in Austin.
