Students in Marble Falls ISD all have free access to technology devices to support instruction in school, and for secondary students, also at home. Students have access to a wide array of technology, including personal devices for Marble Falls Middle and High School students. The devices are all made to connect to the internet to open up a world of learning for Marble Falls’ students and teachers. The District also provides free, filtered, high speed wireless access (Wi-Fi) both during the regular school day and after school hours.
“We want to make sure our families know that their students have many different Wi-Fi hotspots around the District they can access free,” reports Jeff Gasaway, Assistant Superintendent of Administration. “When your child has a homework assignment that requires the use of the student’s device, many times he or she also requires access to the internet. We understand that not every student has high speed internet access in their home, so the District wants parents and guardians to know how their child can connect at no cost to the MFISD filtered Wi-Fi hotspots.”
The MFISD issued Chromebooks will automatically recognize the District Wi-Fi and allow students to use their school credentials to log on. Students can access the Outdoor Access Points for free Wi-Fi 24 hours a day, seven days per week, at the following locations:
Marble Falls High School Park in Student Parking near the building
Falls Career High School Park by the Community Room Parking
