Marble Falls High School’s 2016 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled, rain or shine, Saturday, May 28th, beginning at 8:00 p.m. To make the event accessible to as many Mustang fans as possible, MFISD is pleased to announce that this year’s Commencement will be streamed live on the web at http://www.youtube.com/c/MFHSProductions/live.
“We hope our online stream of this year’s graduation ceremony will make it possible for more of our families to participate in the event,” said MFHS Principal, Manny Lunoff. “Whether students have out-of-town family and friends, relatives with health or mobility issues, or people who would like to attend, but have another event or graduation at the same time, the live stream and the ability to watch the recorded event later open up options for more people to cheer on their favorite Mustang’s accomplishments.”
The live stream also offers flexibility to view the event in case there is inclement weather the evening of the Commencement Ceremony. District officials will decide Saturday (May 28th) by noon whether the Commencement ceremony will be held in Mustang Stadium or the Max Copeland Gym. In the event that the Commencement is moved to the Max Copeland Gym, only people with tickets to the event will get into the Max Copeland Gym. Each graduate candidate will receive four tickets at the graduation practice Friday morning (May 27th). Friends and families without tickets will be invited to watch the live stream in either the Mustang Gym or in the High School Auditorium.
“By making the call Saturday by noon, we hope to give our families more time to decide whether they want to watch the event at the High School, or view it online in the comfort of their own home,” said Lunoff.
