Drumline Beats Competition
Mustang Drumline earned 1st Place

The Mustang Drumline earned first place in the Scholastic AA category of the Winter Texas Color Guard Circuit Percussion Contest at Rouse High School Saturday.

“This is the first time the Mustang Marching Percussion has competed in a winter drumline competition in almost six years,” said MFHS Assistant Band Director, Brandon Sinde.  “The students have made vast improvements since the beginning of the season and it really shows with their victory.”

Winter drumline is an off season marching competition for drumlines and front ensemble members to refine their skills.   The practice contests are preparing the Mustang Drumline for the TCGC State Percussion Championships. The Mustang Marching Percussion is working to compete in the State Championships scheduled for April 3rd in College Station.
