Falls Career High School has set February 15th (the day after Valentine’s Day) for the students’ final Blood Drive of the school year. The Blood Drive will be open from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot behind Super Taco across from the MFISD Central Offices.
"Impress your Valentine and save a life,” says Mike Saenz, Falls Teacher. “You can keep the romance alive at least one day past Valentine’s day by participating in the Falls Valentine’s Blood Drive and Community Service Project!”
The Falls students are making it easy to donate. Call Mike Saenz at 830-798-3626, or email him at email@example.com, to make an appointment. Appointments are available every 15 minutes throughout the day. You can also simply stop by and look for the multi-colored Bloodmobile from the Blood Center of Central Texas. Blood donors must be 17 or older, weigh at least 115 lbs., and have eaten a full meal before donating. Participants will receive a free t-shirt, munchies, and the satisfaction of possibly saving a life!
“The Blood Center of Central Texas provides a great lesson of responsibility for our students,” said Peggy Little, Principal of Falls. “They depend on us to help them save lives in Central Texas year after year, semester after semester. Students learn that some responsibilities need to be continually met. The success of our blood drives is a testament to the good will and good actions of our community members.”
