Falls Career High School students invite you to celebrate the Holiday Season by giving lifesaving blood during their first Holiday Blood Drive, Thursday, December 3rd, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Falls Blood Drive community service project is put on by The Blood Center of Central Texas.
“We at Falls are proud to have been asked to put on a third blood drive during this school year by our friends at The Blood Center of Central Texas,” said Falls Teacher, Mike Saenz. “The request shows that a real need for blood is present in Central Texas, and that the Highland Lakes and Marble Falls ISD Community can be counted on to help. I can’t think of a better time. While we are celebrating our abundance and giving to those dear in our hearts, we also have the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and easily save lives in Central Texas.”
To donate Thursday, look for the Multi-Colored Bloodmobile in the parking lot across from MFISD Administration Building, one block behind Super Taco. Donors will receive free munchies. To donate, you must be 17 or older, weigh at least 115 lbs., and have eaten a full meal prior to donating.
“The Blood Center of Central Texas asking our students to rally our community for an extra blood drive shows our students that fulfilling needs don’t always follow a preset timetable,” reminds Peggy Little, Principal of Falls High School. “Sometimes adjusting plans are both necessary and right when the needs of your community arise.”
Call Mike Saenz (830-798-3626), email him at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment (available every 15 minutes), or just show up and look for the Bloodmobile.
