Child Nutrition Provides Thanksgiving Feast
MFISD Serves Thanksgiving Feasts

To celebrate this year’s Thanksgiving holiday with our students, their families, and MFISD staff, Marble Falls’ Child Nutrition Staff served a delicious Thanksgiving Celebration and Feast Thursday at all of the MFISD campuses.  The staff worked all week to prepare approximately 1,000 extra meals on top of the 2,700 tasty, nutritious meals served daily in the District.

The excitement was obvious in the smiles and faces of the children as they greeted their parents, guardians and grandparents before they lined up to receive their Thanksgiving meal.  Families enjoyed specially prepared Turkey, dressing, cake, fruit salad with marshmallows, and vegetables.

“I really love the spirit and heart our staff shows when we put together our annual Thanksgiving lunches,” said Mary Davidson, Director of Child Nutrition.  “The care from our Child Nutrition staff, the extra help from the staff at Central Administration, and the welcoming campus staffs all come together to welcome our families into the schools for the Thanksgiving feast.  The dedication to make this day special for our community is very heartwarming!”
