Students Explore College and Career Choices
Students explore college options

Junior and Senior high school students from Marble Falls, Falls Career High School, Faith Academy, Llano, and Cherokee had the opportunity to visit with the recruiters from 74 different college and career post-secondary institutions Tuesday morning during the TACRAO Electronic College Fair hosted by Marble Falls High School.  The College Fair is a unique opportunity for students to talk personally with the college, technical school or military branch of their choice.  It also gives students a chance to learn about post-secondary training opportunities they may not have considered before the Fair.

“This is my 11th year helping to host the College Fair,” said Trish Walker from the MFHS Counseling Department.  “The College Fair started in the 90’s, and ever since, it has been a wonderful way to offer exposure of available programs to our students.  In addition to the traditional two and four-year college and military options, this year we had a career center where there were several three and six-month training opportunities for those students who just want to go to work after high school.”
